(VIGO COUNTY) - A levee has failed in Vigo County now that part of the county is under a flood warning.
WTHI reports that the Vigo County Emergency Management Agency said the Honey Creek levee failure happened in southwestern Vigo County near Dresser, just west of Prairieton.
Land West Kennett Drive and Arbuckle Place seemed to be the most affected. The call came down just after four Sunday afternoon.
The Vigo County EMA has asked homes in that area to evacuate. Duke Energy was also called to shut off power in that area.
There is a sandbagging effort in that area as well.
