(EVANSVILLE) - A southwestern Indiana man facing charges that he stole personal checks from a building and forged the owner’s name on them has been arrested by federal marshals and local police.
State Police say 25-year-old Cory Folsom of Oakland City was arrested Thursday in nearby Owensville on a felony warrant stemming from an investigation by Oakland City police. He faces three counts of forgery and is being held at the Gibson County Jail
Oakland City Police Chief Alec Hensley tells the Evansville Courier & Press investigators believe Folsom stole checks from a building in Oakland City last year and wrote checks by forging the owner's name.
