(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana’s only living Congressional Medal of Honor recipient will have a special exhibit at the Indiana War Memorial museum.
The exhibit opens next month and will honor the life of Sammy Davis, who received the Medal of Honor in 1967.
Brigadier General Stewart Goodwin with the Indiana War Memorials Commission says Davis and his wife chose the Indiana War Memorial museum to display some of his artifacts. Goodwin says this will be the largest exhibit in the museum.
He says the dedication ceremony next month will be a great way to say thank you to an American hero.
