(INDIANAPOLIS) - An IMPD officer was injured Friday night after a motorist drove away and ran over the officer’s foot.
WISH TV8 reports, police say the officer confronted a man in the Kroger parking lot for playing music too loudly. This was shortly after 10 p.m. in the area of 10th Street and Shadeland Avenue.
The motorist then drove away, running over the officer's foot.
The officer was injured.
As the suspect drove away, the officer fired two shots into the back of the motorist's vehicle. The man then drove home, where he called police.
Investigators arrived and the motorist was arrested.
