(GREENWOOD) - Suburban Indianapolis police say a teenage boy faces auto theft and other charges after he allegedly stole a pickup truck and drove at speeds exceeding 100 mph while trying to elude offices.
The 16-year-old was arrested early Tuesday by Greenwood police just south of Indianapolis. Officers used a stun gun to subdue the teen when he fled on foot after crashing the stolen truck into a concrete median during the police pursuit.
The Daily Journal reports that the teen nearly hit three other vehicles during the pursuit, but no one was injured.
The teen was being held at the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of auto theft, theft, resisting law enforcement, false reporting and operating a vehicle without a license.
