(GREENFIELD) - A Greenfield-Central High School Student was arrested Wednesday after she passed out tablets of Adderall to a girl, causing her to become sick.
The 15-year-old student passed out pills to at least four of her friends. One of her friends became sick later that night and was taken to an area hospital.
The Greenfield Daily Reporter say the girl who passed out the pills has an Adderall prescription.
School officials contacted police Wednesday when they learned about the incident from parents. The girl was picked up by police at school Wednesday afternoon.
She is being held in a Delaware County juvenile facility where she is facing juvenile charges, including dealing a controlled substance on school property.
It is not yet known if the students who took the pills will also be charged. According to the school handbook, all five students could face expulsion. School rules prohibit students from bringing their medication supplies to school. All medication must be delivered by a parent.
