(UNDATED) - A new survey out says adult drivers are texting and driving so much these days that they’re doing it even more than teen drivers.
49-percent of commuters now admit to texting while driving compared to 43-percent of teen drivers.
The number of drivers who actually admit to texting while driving is up 10 percent from three years ago.
Back in 2010, 40-percent admitted to it.
Now half admit to it.
98-percent of all drivers surveyed say they know it isn't safe but do it anyway.
The survey comes just in time for National Distracted Driving Awareness Month in April.
Indiana State Police say distracted driving plays a big role in the number of crashes seen across the state.
