(MADISON COUNTY) - Authorities in Madison County have made an arrest on a man who broke into a home and then sped away with a child in the car.
Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson says a home owner returned home Thursday afternoon and found a strange vehicle parked in their driveway. The home owner said there was a small child sitting in a car seat.
As the home owner and a family member lifted the garage door, a man ran out, entered the parked car, and then sped away.
The vehicle was located and the driver, who has been identified as 32-year-old David C. Case, was taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
He faces charges of burglary, a Class B felony, theft, a Class D felony, and neglect of a dependent, a Class D felony.
