(EVANSVILLE) - The judge in the death penalty murder trial of a southwestern Indiana man charged with killing his fiancee’s two children has ordered spectators not to wear or display anything supporting either side.
Clark Circuit Judge Daniel Moore included the ban on displaying support in a six-page order covering security and media and spectator behavior during the murder and arson trial of 37-year-old Jeffrey Weisheit.
Weisheit goes on trial next week in Clark County in connection with a 2010 house fire that killed 8-year-old Alyssa Lynch and 5-year-old Caleb Lynch at his home in Vanderburgh County.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports the trial was moved from Evansville to Jeffersonville to shield potential jurors from pretrial publicity.
The bodies of the children were found inside the ruins of the house.
