(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police have made an arrest in a rape case dating back to 2006.
DNA match results in 2006 rape arrest
Artaro Estrada-Medina, 38, of Lawrence, is facing charges of rape, criminal confinement, and strangulation.
Police say they got a DNA sample from Estrada-Medina following a recent arrest in a separate case.
They were able to match the D-N-A to the 2006 rape.
According to a police report, Estrada-Medina allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl at her apartment complex. The teen told police she was 12 weeks pregnant.
