(INDIANAPOLIS) - Workers at an Indianapolis health insurance office have called police after receiving two separate complaint letters accompanied by dog feces.
Stephen Dean of TheIndyChannel.com staff reports that the second letter was reported to police on Tuesday afternoon at the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield office on Virginia Avenue just south of downtown.
Employees told police the latest smelly delivery was addressed to "Expert A--holes" and seemed to come from someone angry about advertisements being mailed to the person's dog.
Police examined the most recent letter that accompanied the dog feces and quoted its contents in their official report.
The letter stated, "Your bulk mailer has purchased a bogus name-Our dog does not need Medicare insurance and has never written a letter nor called Anthem requesting such trash.
"That's what happens when you're constantly soliciting our dog with the crap herein attached just for you, to lick and eat! When are these solicitations going to stop arriving?"
The letter continued, "Let's see if you like your trash back: What comes around, goes around!"
Police said the letter signed off with, "Bon Appetite!"
Officers said the first letter that contained dog feces arrived on March 13, and the Anthem employees were told to notify U.S. Postal Inspectors, since a federal crime might be involved with the harassment by mail.
Anthem employees said they sealed the latest shipment in a plastic bag to hand over to inspectors.
The most recent letter did include a return address, but police were unsure if it was an authentic address.
No suspects are listed on the official police report.
