(INDIANAPOLIS - A former Evansville police officer will stay behind bars after losing an appeal to get his 80-year prison sentence thrown out.
Glenn Bradford was convicted in 1993 of killing a corrections officer in her home and then setting the house on fire.
Bradford claimed that he had new evidence that showed he did not set the fire. He also argued that prosecutors engaged in misconduct during his trial.
The Indiana Court of Appeals rejected those arguments.
