(GREENFIELD) - Four people were injured in a crash on U.S. 40 in Greenfield Friday afternoon.
Officials said the accident involved a Hancock County Sheriff's vehicle and two other vehicles.
The officer was assisting a stranded motorist in the grassy median of U.S. 40, near the intersection with 400 East, when the third vehicle drove into the median.
According to the Greenfield Fire Chief one woman was seriously injured and was pinned between two vehicles.
That woman and another women were both transported to Methodist hospital. Two other people were taken to the hospital as well.
