(INDIANAPOLIS) - Expect increased security this morning as you head to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Indianapolis Department of Public Safety Director Troy Riggs says there will be a heightened level of security.
Riggs says their state and federal partners have reviewed their plans and checked out the track and other venues. He adds the security won't be greater than last year's Super Bowl, despite rumors to the contrary.
Riggs says you can expect to see an increased police presence in and around the track, including more K-9 handlers checking things out.
He reminds people to be aware of their surroundings and report anything suspicious to a police officer or security official.
