(INDIANAPOLIS) - A homeless man has been arrested in the rape of an unconscious homeless woman in a downtown alley, police said.
WISH TV8 reports that, just after midnight on Friday, officers were alerted to a possible assault in the 200 block of McCrea Street, the alley southwest of Georgia and Meridian streets.
The officers found a man raping a woman between a trash compactor and a fence, police said.
The woman was found to be unconscious and took two minutes to respond, police said.
The man was identified as Theodore Bryant, 56. He was arrested on a preliminary charge of rape.
