(LAWRENCE) - Lawrence Police are investigating after two men were found shot and killed in a car Thursday evening.
WISH TV8 reports that police were called to the 4200 block of North Franklin Road around 6:00 PM, by a store employee who saw a car in the parking lot of a strip mall, with two motionless people inside.
Offiicials say they found two men dead in the car, with multiple gun shot wounds. They appear to be in their late teens or early 20's, police say.
Police also weren't sure how long the car had been there, but are hoping someone comes forward with information about the crime.
"There's always cause for concern," Sergeant Gary Woodruff with Lawrence Police said. "You find two individuals who are deceased from gunshot wounds in a neighborhood, sure that's case for concern. We will diligently investigate what happened... We will make a determination about what happened in pretty short order."
No suspects have been named.
At this point police aren't releasing names of the victims.
Police are hoping surveillance video from one of these businesses will yield some clues to who may have been involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
