(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two men riding motorcycles were injured early Friday when a car crashed into them near an intersection on Indianapolis’ east side.
The crash happened just after midnight near 30th Street and Emerson Avenue, dispatchers said.
Alex Langs witnessed the crash and told police a car rear-ended the men. The force of the crash sent one man flying off his motorcycle.
"I heard a big bang and they wiped out. The one guy was really badly hurt. The other guy got off the bike and tried to get his brother moved, but (the motorcycle) started leaking gasoline. It was catching on fire and that's when I called 911," Langs said.
Both men were hospitalized; one was listed in serious condition and the other suffered minor injuries, officials said.
Police did not release the identity of the men, but officials say the men are related.
The person driving the car involved in the crash remained at the scene. Police did not say if any charges would be filed.
