(ANDERSON) - Emergency crews responded to crash on the south side of Anderson late Thursday.
According to Joel Sandefur with the Anderson Police Department, the crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. at the corner of West 16th Street and Raible Avenue.
An Anderson police sergeant on scene told Fox59 five juveniles were transported to area hospitals.
Ambulances transported one to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and two to Community Hospital Anderson.
A medical helicopter transport two additional patients to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Their injuries are classified as non-life threatening by police on scene.
A preliminary investigation appears to show that the passenger vehicle ran a red light striking a semi cab causing fuel to leak from its tanks.
Madison County Hazmat team responded to help clean up the accident and possible fuel leaking from the tanker.
Anderson Police are investigating the crash.
