(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is warning Hoosiers about inappropriate phone calls regarding insurance rates.
BMV Commissioner R. Scott Waddell says his office has received reports of a group claiming to be the BMV, offering to lower the driver's car insurance rates.
"At no time will the BMV ever contact our customers about insurance rates. Please be advised that if you receive this kind of call that it is not from the Indiana BMV," Waddell said.
The offending calls were coming from an Indiana phone number, 765-733-1023.
