(MONROE) - Eight graduating Monroe Central Jr. Sr. High School students were banned from their graduation ceremony after participating in a senior prank.
The 18 year-olds admitted to breaking into the school around 2:30am on June 1 and stringing yarn through the school, painting windows, posting sticky notes on display cases and for one student defecating in a school sink.
The students were given a seven-day suspension beginning Monday, which included an awards ceremony Friday night and the graduation ceremony. They will be able to pick up their diplomas on Monday, when the suspension is over.
