(INDIANAPOLIS) - A man was hit by a car and was left lying in the street on Lafayette Road in Indianapolis, early Sunday morning, as the driver fled the scene.
It was just after 2 a.m. when the man says he was headed southbound in the northbound lane of the 6200 block of Lafayette Road. That's when a black sedan, possibly a Saturn, struck him and kept going.
Police say the man suffered cuts to his face and complained of pain in his torso and right leg.
He was taken to St. Vincent Hospital.
Police are looking for the driver who left the scene. If you have any information, call 262-TIPS.
