(INDIANAPOLIS) - One of the state’s top technology companies is being sold in a billion dollar deal.
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com, the largest maker of online customer-management software, has announced an agreement to purchase Indianapolis-based ExactTarget for approximately $2.5 billion dollars. The offer for $33.75 per share in cash is 53 percent more that ExactTarget's closing price Monday.
The transaction has been unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies.
