(EVANSVILLE) - Indiana University officials say progress is being made in planning a regional academic health science and research campus in Evansville and that its location will be chosen by December.
The IU School of Medicine currently offers two years of study based in Evansville. The program is housed at the University of Southern Indiana.
The new, expanded campus will allow for four years of study locally, along with residency opportunities at area hospitals and medical facilities, according to IU.
