(WINCHESTER) - An eastern Indiana man accused of “branding” three children with a medallion heated on a space heater has entered into a plea agreement.
Jason Michael Mangas had been scheduled to go on trial on neglect charges Monday in Randolph County Court in Winchester, but the trial was canceled after Mangas reached an agreement with prosecutors.
Prosecutors say the three children believed they were getting tattoos when the incident occurred in January.
The Star Press reports terms of the 29-year-old Union City man's plea agreement weren't released.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 11. The judge must accept the agreement for it to take effect.
