(DUBOIS CO) - A passenger was seriously injured in a crash in Dubois County on Saturday night.
Dubois County Sheriff's deputies say drivers of both cars involved claimed the oncoming vehicle was in their lane as they approached from different directions on CR 400 S, just east of CR 700 E, when they crashed.
Deputies say passenger Benjamin Schwoeppe wasn't wearing his seat and was thrown from the SUV as it rolled. Schwoeppe was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he was then taken to St. Mary's by helicopter.
Officials say Schwoeppe is in serious but stable condition. The driver of the SUV and the other vehicle were not injured.
