(FISHERS) - A 21-month-old boy died at a licensed in-home daycare Thursday, and the Fishers Police Department is investigating.
Detectives say there is no indication of foul play at this point.
Police and fire crews were called to the 13900 block of Hawkstone Drive at 12:21 pm Thursday on a report that a child was not breathing.
The first officer to arrive started CPR on the boy until paramedics got there a few minutes later. The boy was taken to Community North Hospital, but he could not be revived. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives and evidence technicians arrived at the home to speak with the homeowners and process the scene. An investigator with the Hamilton County Department of Child Services was called to the home and spoke with the homeowners and detectives.
Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Detective David Finn at 317-595-3300.
