(UNDATED) - Police arrested Joseph Urbano, 25, and Charles Barbour, 22, on Monday after a crime spree that allegedly spanned three Indiana counties.
The two men are accused of breaking into nearly two dozen cars in Harrison, Washington and Floyd counties over the past two weeks.
WHAS11 reports that Cortney Johnson was one of the victim's. She woke up on Saturday and noticed her purse was missing from her car. She checked her bank account online and realized the thieves were spending her money.
Police were able to use that information to eventually track down the suspects after obtaining surveillance images from Wal-Mart. They were able to view the suspects and their vehicle. They were later pulled over and that's when police were able to link them to multiple crimes outside of Floyd County. They allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of laptops, cell phones and guns. Most items have been recovered except for the guns.
The two are charged with multiple counts of theft.
