(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police are looking into an attempted robbery that involve two Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School students.
IPS officials say two students were waiting for their bus near Concord and 12th streets, on the city's west side, around 6:45 a.m. Thursday morning when they were approached by two men. The men asked for the students' electronic devices and point what is believed to be a pellet pistol in the air.
The school bus approached and the men ran off.
The students were not injured in the incident.
"This is a reminder that students should stay in groups and always be mindful of their surroundings. In this case our students reacted appropriately and immediately reported this to school officials. We are thankful neither student was harmed," John Althardt, IPS director of School and Community Relations, said in a release.
