(GREENWOOD) - An Indianapolis woman died Sunday following a motorcycle accident in Johnson County.
Saturday evening Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to State Road 37 just south of Smith Valley Road.
The woman who died was a passenger on a motorcycle that was traveling north on State Road 37 in the fast lane. The motorcycle operator was trying to switch from the fast lane to the slow lane, moved over and collided with truck that was in the slow lane. The motorcycle then lost control and crashed ejecting the operator and the passenger from the bike.
Both were transported to Methodist Hospital, and the female left the scene in critical condition. The Sheriff's Office will not release the name of the rider or passenger until the family has been notified.
The driver of the pick up truck was taken for a standard breath test for a serious accident, although alcohol is not believed to be a factor on his part.
