(BOONVILLE) - A 15-year-old boy on a dirt bike was killed Saturday when he was hit by a car driven by his mother, police said.
Hunter McDaniel, of Boonville, was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
The crash happened about 2 p.m. on the family's property in the 1300 block of West New Hope Road, south of Boonville, the Warrick County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Authorities are calling the boy's death a traffic accident.
Warrick County Chief Deputy Sheriff Marvin Heilman said no charges will be filed, calling the incident a "horrible situation" for the family.
