(CHURUBUSCO) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident with injuries that occurred in Churubusco Saturday evening.
At approximately 9:15 pm, 41-year-old Michael Dixon, of Ft. Wayne, was operating an off-road vehicle on private property in the 10200 block of Bryie Rd.
Dixon was driving the vehicle on top of a steep embankment alongside a pond on the property.
Dixon was traveling at a high-rate of speed and lost control of the off-road vehicle, causing it to roll down the embankment.
Dixon was thrown from the machine and suffered a head and rib injuries
He was transported by ambulance to Parkview Hospital for further treatment. This accident is still under investigation and alcohol may have been a factor.
Conservation Officers were assisted on scene by the Allen County Sheriff's Department and Whitley County EMS.
