(COLUMBUS) - The FairOaks Mall sheriff sale is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 10.
This is the final step in foreclosure for the 415,000 square-foot retail center, The Republic reports.
The sale was originally set for May. It was pushed back a second time to July.
The mall is heavily in debt and Wells Fargo Bank asked the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department list it.
Wells Fargo may then try to sell it to new owners for possible redevelopment.
The future of the stores located in the mall is unknown.
