(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police said formal charges have now been filed in their latest prostitution sting near the Fashion Mall in northeast Indianapolis.
On Wednesday undercover IMPD Vice Squad officers said they answered an online ad that offered a sex meeting with a "porn star."
Officers said they negotiated a sex act for a price at the Hyatt Place hotel on Keystone Crossing Boulevard, and when they moved in to make arrests, they said they found a woman who claimed a history of making adult films.
Dafayea D. Ingram, 32 of Chatsworth, Calif., was jailed on a misdemeanor count of prostitution.
Officers said she told them she had been making XXX videos in the past, but they were unsure what name she used in those videos.
Police said her pimp was also arrested after a foot chase near the hotel. He was identified in the arrest report as Watkins J. Malik, 24 of Alphretta, Ga. He now faces charges of felony promotion of prostitution and resisting arrest, while also being charged with misdemeanor counts of resisting and battery.
Lacy M. Strand, 21, of River Avenue in Indianapolis, was also arrested in the sting (pictured, right). She was jailed on felony charges of promotion of prostitution, along with several drug charges.
Police said they had to wait until formal charges were accepted by prosecutors on Thursday before releasing their mug shots.
