(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Metropolitan homicide detectives are investigating the death of a infant that happened Friday afternoon on the east side of the city.
Police were called to 2310 Rural Street around noon on Friday for the report of a child not breathing. The 18-month-old girl was transported to Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Twenty-five-year-old Wayne Bradshaw was in the home at the time and told police that his daughter had fallen and was not breathing. He is being held at the Marion County Jail on a charge of battery.
