(HAMILTON COUNTY) - Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies have called off the search for Philip Paligraf after his body was discovered inside his truck in Montgomery County.
Sheriff's deputies say it appears he was in a single-vehicle crash.
Law enforcement was asking the public to be on the lookout for Paligraf, who was reported missing by family members after failing to return from a trip to Crawfordsville on Saturday.
Mr. Paligraf, 55, was last seen around 2:00 pm in the area of Offield Monument Road in Crawfordsville. Sheriff's deputies found his body inside his truck, a gray 2005 GMC Sonoma. The circumstances of the crash are not known at this time.
Paligraf's truck was discovered in a heavily wooded area near State Road 32 and County Road 900 East. He was located inside the vehicle and was deceased, law enforcement said.
Police don't know why Paligraf's truck left the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.
Paligraf was believed to be headed back to Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. He is a local vice president with Comcast and a former general manager of WTTV Channel 4.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Montgomery County coroner.
