(INDIANAPOLIS) - A man was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 65 in Pike Township.
The crash was reported just after 3 a.m. on I-65 near 71st Street when a car ran into the back of the semi, dispatchers said.
First responders said the unidentified man's car slid under the semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The northbound lanes of I-65 were shut down near mile marker 124 as crews worked to clear the scene. Police reopened the lanes to rush hour traffic just before 7 a.m.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
