(SHELBYVILLE) - Shelbyville Police are investigating the second jewelry store break-in in downtown Shelbyville in less than a week.
On Friday thieves smashed the display window and removed the showcased jewelry items behind it at Connor's Jewelry Store and July 13, Sanders Jewelry Store was victimized when thieves broke and entered through the store's front window, smashed a display case and took off with several items.
It is not the first time Connor's Store has been broken into, although it's been more than three decades since the last break-in when thieves took thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from inside the store.
