(CLARK CO) - Indiana Conservation Officers arrested six men last week for separate offenses ranging from sexual battery to public indecency at Division of Natural Resources properties in Clark County.
Clarksville Police assisted in the investigation after receiving numerous complaints from the public about illicit sexual behavior at Falls of the Ohio State Park. Two men were arrested there, including Samuel Elmore of Louisville. Officers said he attempted sexual contact with an officer in plain clothes.
Three days later the investigation was focused at Clark State Forest near Henryville where they arrested four more men. One man, who is charged with sexual battery, is accused of trying to touch an officer. The three others are charged with public indecency.
"If you want to come out here and have a birthday party it should be just as safe as your own backyard," Bo Spainhour, a conservation officer, said.
Anyone who is arrested on a DNR property is banned for a year. If you see something suspicious you can leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-TIP-IDNR.
