(CENTER GROVE) - A Center Grove daycare may lose their license after receiving more than 30 child care violations this year.
The Daily Journal reports Kid Co. Preschool and Childcare is appealing a decision to close the facility made by the state in February. The decision was made after they have given several violations including inappropriate comments made by teachers, not reporting suspected child neglect to Child Protective Services and not supervision children.
According to an inspection report, a teacher dragged a child by the legs into a room, a teacher laughed boys who were fighting, four staff members didn't have a physical exam or drug screen results and the facility failed to have education documentation or a criminal history check in files.
The most recent inspection was July 3.
An appeals hearing has not been set as of Thursday, and until it is held, the daycare will remain open.
A Kid Co. location in Franklin is on probation after receiving 50 citation since February.
