(JOHNSON CO.) - Johnson County Sheriff is looking for 23-year-old Sherman Parks, who is still on the loose after a vehicle chase and he may be armed.
Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Parks and another male suspect led Whiteland Police on a chase that began on I-65 southbound near the Whiteland exit. They were in a vehicle possibly stolen from Franklin, IN. The 60-70 mph chase continued from Whiteland and Johnson Co to Shelby Co and back to Franklin. Johnson County, Shelby County, and Franklin Police were also involved in the hour long chase.
Stop sticks were used during the chase to help stop the vehicle. The male driver of the vehicle was bitten by a K-9 during the apprehension and taken to the Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Franklin to be checked out. A Shelby County deputy was also injured in the apprehension of the suspect.
Whiteland PD, Franklin PD, Johnson Co & Shelby Co Sheriffs deputies were involved in the hour long chase overnight that continued till around 4:30 a.m. Johnson County continues to look for the other suspect, Sherman Parks, and hasn't released the name of the suspect who was driving.
