(INDIANAPOLIS) - Marion County Coroner says a woman who was found deceased in a south side home late Monday night died from massive sharp force and blunt force injuries to the head.
Officers arrived to the house in the 1800 block of Singleton Road, where they found 24-year-old Shanna Elmore dead.
Her boyfriend, Cory Musick, was arrested in connection with her death and transported to the Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder.
Police said there has been a history of police calls to the house, one was as recent as last Friday. The couple has also been listed in several police reports and have both been arrested on domestic battery charges.
According to family members, Elmore, who is a mother of two young children, and Musick had a turbulent on again, off again relationship.
Police have not said how or when Elmore died, but her family is convinced she died either Friday night or Saturday morning.
Wednesday, the coroner said all injuries Elmore sustained were to the head. Toxicology tests are still pending.
