(JEFFERSONVILLE) - A 7th grader at a Jeffersonville middle school was arrested after police said he claimed to have a bomb while leaving the bus Tuesday morning.
Greater Clark County Schools officials said a bus driver overheard the student make a comment about a bomb and reported it to administrators. GCCS also said they do not believe there was a credible threat to staff or students at the school.
A Greater Clark County Schools resource officer arrested the 12-year-old River Valley Middle School student and transported him to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
The student is facing an intimidation charge.
