(INDIANAPOLIS) - An eight-year-old boy was critically injured Wednesday night when he was hit in the head with a hammer during a fight.
A 12-year-old girl was also hurt in the incident, but her injuries were minor.
This fight took place around 9 p.m. on the 2700 block of Priscilla Avenue on the city's east side.
According to the IMPD police report, the fight started outside of an apartment building.
At least one man was arrested for "intimidation" after threatening a witness to the fight. He is related to one of the injured children.
At this time it is not clear who participated in the fight, and who hit the boy with the hammer.
Both children went to Riley Hospital.
