Last updated on Saturday, August 31, 2013

(FERDINAND) - The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says a Birdseye woman escaped serious injury Thursday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Club Road, about a half-mile north of State Road 264 near Ferdinand.

A crash report says 44-year-old Jill Wright was northbound on Club Road when she lost control of her car, overcorrected and ran off the road.

Her car hit a guardrail, overturned, and came to a rest on its top in a creek.

First responders had to extricate her from the vehicle.

She was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of a possible ankle injury.
