(INDIANAPOLIS) - Wishard Hospital has confirmed that the pilot, Gerald Clayton, of a plane that crashed into a house on July 25th died overnight.
The plane, piloted by Gerald H. Clayton of Columbus, crashed shortly after takeoff and plowed into the back of a house in a subdivision just south of Columbus Municipal Airport.
Clayton and passenger Dennis King, 60, of Columbus, had already exited the aircraft when emergency crews arrived. They had burns, cuts and abrasions.
King is still recovering from burns that he suffered in the crash.
