(SELLERSBURG) - Golfer Fuzzy Zoeller is drawing to a close the southern Indiana charity tournament that has drawn many top players and celebrities over the years.
Zoeller choked up Sunday as he thanked the organizers and volunteers who've worked on the Wolf Challenge that he's hosted for 16 years near his hometown. Zoeller told the crowd at Covered Bridge Golf Club near Sellersburg that now was an appropriate time to end the event.
The News and Tribune reports that the former Masters and U.S. Open champion played Sunday's round with World Golf Hall of Famers Lee Trevino and Nancy Lopez and past Masters champ Craig Stadler.
The tournament has raised more than $2 million during its history for Fuzzy's Kids, a charitable organization benefiting children of Indiana and Kentucky.
