(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Kenyan student and soccer player studying at Ivy Tech has died after a July 22 assault.
Indianapolis Metro Police are asking the public to come forward if they have any information about the attack.
IMPD says Felix Achoch, 21, was at Club Vision on Lafayette Road when he got into an altercation. It spilled into the parking lot and Achoch was assaulted by several people. Someone who stepped in to stop the attack was also assaulted.
Achoch was rushed to Methodist Hospital in critical condition, but eight days later, on July 30, 2013, he died from his injuries. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
Achoch was an accomplished soccer defenseman who had made the first cut for the Indy Eleven soccer team. He was scheduled to have his final tryout on July 25.
