(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis man faces federal charges alleging that he filmed pornographic images of children he was supposed to be babysitting.
Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old David Simpkins filmed two children under the age of 3 at their Indianapolis home while their guardians were away.
Authorities say they began investigating Simpkins after Homeland Security agents in Boston discovered images depicting child pornography and traced them to Indianapolis.
Court documents allege that at some point Simpkins distributed the pornographic images to be viewed by others.
Homeland Security agents arrested Simpkins on Saturday in Muncie. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
The case was part of the Justice Department's Project Safe Childhood launched in 2006 to target the growing nationwide epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
