(KOKOMO) - A central Indiana man who pleaded guilty in an alcohol poisoning case involving 2-year-old twins has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Joel O'Bannon was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in Howard Superior Court to two felony counts of child neglect.
The Kokomo Tribune reports police arrested the 21-year-old O'Bannon in March after finding two toddlers suffering from alcohol poisoning in a residence.
Police found the children suffering from alcohol poisoning after officers responded to an incomplete 911 call at a home in Indian Heights just south of Kokomo.
Both 2-year-olds were airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital and treated for alcohol poisoning.
