(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana State Police arrested an Indianapolis metro officer Wednesday morning on suspicion of drunk driving.
State police say they responded to a report of an erratic driver on the southwest side just after midnight. Troopers pulled over IMPD Officer Ronald Santa near the intersection of Harding Street and Hudnut Boulevard.
Santa was transported to the Marion County Jail after failing a field sobriety test, according to troopers.
State troopers charged Santa with operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .10. As of Wednesday afternoon he was free on a $150 cash bond, jail officials said.
Santa is the second IMPD officer this month arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. Officer Kevin Brown was suspended from IMPD pending an internal investigation following his Aug. 6 arrest on drunk driving charges in Morgan County.
